Anyone know how to use the NW voice commands?

I've been fiddling around trying to figure out how to do these. I notice in the audio options there some settings, what type of voice, how loud, what channels you hear them from.

However, I typed /help voices and saw a bunch of commands how to do it.. for example, /voice help or /voice yes.

When I try to use them however, I get a message saying

"You do not have that voice effect installed."


Now wtf? I installed notum wars, everything else works, why cant I do the voice chat? Do I need to install something seperate? Turn something on in my controls? Anyone who can tell me how to get the voice chat, let me know. I'm eager to try them out :).

Did you actually install the notum wars program off the CD or just register it online? You have to install the notum wars program itself to get the voice. Btw, the voices are extremely bad so don't expect anything big.

Haha, yes I did install it, I know a lot of poeple aren't, and think because of that that NW contains nothing at all.

Perhaps I didn't install it right.. I'll re-install asap.

When you install, you might have the same problem with the NW cd-rom as I did. It would not auto-run and install. If I manually ran the cd-rom, then all it would give me was a "play" button, while the "install" button was greyed out. So, I went into the game thinking I had installed NW and couldn't do voices. Well, I got the same message as you and found out that I hadn't installed it.

So, here's what to do if it's the same problem:

1. Make sure cd-rom is in the drive.
2. Open Windows Explorer.
3. Open the AO files in your cd-rom.
4. Double click on the blue "SETUP.EXE" icon.

That should install NW for you, if we are discussing the same problem with the NW disc.

Yea im working on a bio-ware (baulders gate) voice mod.. somehow having scottish atrox's is kinda lame... will be posting in a week when im finished... (sorry i used vegeta for solitist male. :p)
