My NW experience (or, a lag filled day)

I was extremely looking forward to this booster. And settingup towers was very enjoyable to me. Decided to get in on a raid to hopefully knock down one of omni's bigger bases.

Fly in.

De plane.

See an omni, press Q.

nothing.

press q again, nothing. Wait....get rooted....press q again, says I am attacking the first target I wanted to, not the one I had targeted. Press q to stop the attack. Press q again to start against the target I wanted to attack. This goes on for 5 minutes, without ever swinging.

Run to outside the major lag area, sit down to hopefully reset my attacks, lag damage occurs from their turrets, etc etc, I die, not once, but hear the music and myself dying twice.

In other words, massive conflicts are impossible for me. I see people dying sure, but who knows why?

Is anyone else having similar experiences with this? I only hope I can at least attack someone who threatens my guilds towers.

Also, can this be fixed? Is it due to inferior equipment on my part? Athlon, 1.3 512 ram, geforce 2 64mb card. And a decently fast HD.
