Clear it and then ask org to come help you to kill boss. Need a non selfish org tho.
The worse thing that can happen is to get enf/doc out of nano for a few secs. And smart enfos would either run to get immunity or cancel rs aura to only get stunned.
That is the only place where I found doctors more of a hassle than help. They get healing aggro and die on me.
I did just fine with soldiers and MA, tho they died several times too. I didnt die in X yet apart from the first time when we tried to kill the boss just the 2 of us and couldnt make it in time.
Hots are enough for me to outheal eventual hits, I snare adds and take them down one by one; if I get too low I just run back to entrance, with my RS I lose adds halfway and then go back picking them when I heal up.
Nukers can be bit nasty but I managed them so far too.
I suggest you find some generous soul to do the long and boring part for you and join on last part. Every doc I had inside so far had only frustrations out of it and wasnt of much help really - with so much kitting I was never actually in healing range and if I was they would just get huge aggro from it.
But then some people may have different experience :)
I must have missed that. A visit to the fixers part of the forum shouldnt be so hard? You want all fixers to have a link there in their signature or what?
I dunno about reflects but you know how crappy our CC is... If I didnt like fixers so much I would probably rather get a crat in team for CC. Sad really...
Agree there. To me this booster is more a fun/frustrating (the line is very thin there sometimes) place to spend some time doing something a bit different. For me, just getting the pande portal was worth the €20 :)
You don't get the update if you die in there? Is there even any timer to get out? Ok, so I've only done it on my two fixers so maybe I missed something there cause I'm so fast *cough* RS hardcap *cough*Tech, I've known you for over 4 years now.
Do you think that those times you've quit helped your profession? And "started doing stuff about it"? Are you talking about spending 99% of your time on Test is doing something about it? Are you suggesting that we all move over to Test?
Nice to hear but I must disagree that everything is doable w/o a doc. Those turrets in there hit really hard. Through 3+k evades :p
After doing Vortexx quite alot, I'd say that a good team is fix, doc, soldier and adv/ma/shade. I don't think I've even seen a pet profession on lft for Vortexx and I'm open to try any setup of team to get it done but I can imagine that the pets will be blocking peoples view in there. I know I'm constantly cussing at my pets being in the way on my mp, crat and engie. The biggest problem I've had in Vortexx was last night with fix, doc, enf, ma. Imo, no runspeed and lack of soldier DD made controlling the adds a pain in the ass and we failed 4 times in a row. No, not due to bad players, maybe tired but not bad.
X is a real pain in the ass and as I've already said in other threads, it took me close to 3 hrs to solo up to boss.
Tech... Regarding 1.) How many other profs did you try to 100+ ?
2.) Ok so a break might be good but it does not solve any problems. My bills do not go away just because I decide to party up all my money...
3.) What answers?
You have certainly whined and bitched alot over the years. Why shouldnt others be allowed to do so?
On test...
This is what I'm wondering too. Everytime someone states, regarding any place in game, that "it's soloable" I wonder if that person have one toon of each profession, in the same top shape as their main...
I dunno who this Mac guy is or what profession he is playing. But I'm gonna go ahead and say that if someone who designed/made the instance can do it on Test... well you get my point here...
And if you got bored of it and it was on test, were there any changes made to make it less boring?
I never tried X on test but when I did A there, there were no snaring turrets... just showing again how things are on Test is not how they are on Live.
Again, the difference between Test and Live is quite large. You really can't come in telling everyone how easy this and that is when you've been trying some beta stage with all available outside buffs there is...
And finally Tech, come back to your org here on Live. We are growing and we need more of the old toons to help out.
I dont think people just invite others into their org off occ chat. Most want to team with a person first. Since you make hecks so much better xp than rk missions/mobs most people wont ever team with a froob. Even when they do token missions they wait until higher tl level for more tokens per mission and dont do team missions. Boost lowbie rk xp team missions if you want froobs to have more fun.
there are n00bs in game still? everytime I venture past WA on rk2 it's a ghost town, everytime I see someone to invite to org they are someone else's alt. Maybe you should move the starting area to where there are some people in OA?
New instance bosses should simply drop QL300 symbs.
Game Suggestion:
The adopt a n00b progam.
Have an NPC in game to which an Org leader can go along and sign up his/her Org up to the Adopt a n00b program (needs a better name for role playing reasons).
Then, on n00b island/SL starter zone, when someone signs up as Omni/Clan/Newt they get automatically signed up to a random Org in the Adopt a n00b program. (maybe do a check of the Org and make sure that 2 toons are currently online in the Org). Do the same process when someone switches sides too.
This would mean that new players can get some help on the newbie channel when they first start, and can then be fast tracked into an Org thus helping them with their AO life.
At the very least, when someone leaves n00b island/SL starter zone lets have a pop up window directing people to the official forums, the Org recruitment section of the forums, and maybe some helpful websites such as AO-Universe, Auno, etc...
P.S.
I was really really nice to this person, just in case.
Aww... I was going to link alex11's suggestion for NPC that invites to an org...but seems he deleted his post after getting forum abused for it.

Just tried AreaX with a NT...
Managed to get all towers to 50%, then kill two towers.
On third tower we were blessed with a nice rubberband that put me in midst all the adds.... Poof, died.
However.... My faith is restored and can't wait to try again with NT/MP/Doc soon :)
With MP love I have made my setup so I can still cast CH with the NSD on me... crappy recharge, but should be able to help a fair deal in case I happen to get hit with NSD.
PS.
The heal agg is really REALLY insane tho.
PPS.
but that keeps me on my toes :D
I Hoped I could find a screenshot of the Everquest 2 Guild search function, but I could not find any. but I did find a link to a guild recruiting festival.
It is a list you can find ingame, where guilds(orgs) have a description of themselves, just like /org info has.
With a search on that list newcommers can find a guild they like.
*edit* I did find a link: EverQuestII Guild Recruitment Tool
/org info would have to be modified with a few option though:
recruiting: yes/no
Roleplaying: Not welcomed/ ok, but not a requirement / encouraged / roleplay only.
Further more I would love to have an Org logo/shield/icon.
eg. 10€/$ to submit a 60x60 image (max 4kb) for approval and upload to www.anarchy-online.com/OrgLogos/
Then the org list and /org info could display it, or a default OT/ICC/Clan logo.
Q. Why website?
A. Because the resource database is big enough as it is, and when it a website you only get it when you need it.
Q. 4kb seems like very little
A. Most 60x60 gravatar.com images are just about 2kb.
Q. 4kb seems like a lot to download
A. Text and links send through the AO chatserver currently has a limit of 1kb per message for vicinity and OOC and 4kb for private channels and orgs.
Also, if you visited gravatar.com you will see how fast 43 images will load.
Q. 10€/$ seems like a lot to get a logo for my org
A. I do not know how much FunCom pay there employees, but they would have to have a person approve every image and upload them to the trusted server. Maybe PaidPoints instead?
Q. I could just host the org-logo myself
A. That would lead to an insecure system if you could link to every image on the internet, and you would most likely encounter an inappropriate picture or two and suffer from hosts going down.
why would you need to upload the logo on some site? as i recall Lineage 2 had a clan/org pledge system where a clan/org leader could select a logo of some specified size like 15x15 and upload it by using game menu. and every1 would walk around with a logo by their names that could be easily identified in mass pvp battles and such.
If your question refers to the technical issue "why upload it to a web-server?" then I have already given the answer:
Sure you could make the upload ingame, by webpage, E-mail..
I do not care which is the delivery-system of the image, but why waste developer time to make it ingame, if you can make it better and in less time useing the account webpage? (rhetorical question, no answer needed )
It could also be some standard logos people can choose from, as in GuildWars that way they could also be in other places than the org listing and /org info.
but.. it would be limited in the number of options available.
Org Logos would be a cool addition to the Org listing though :)
(and rather easy to implement in the current /org info window)
Kind Regards
Ariensky
if u tried all new content on test now you would find it same as live, the pf X boss was easily soloable before the designer of the PF made it non possible to solo, we helped them test it to make sure it was NOT soloable. i soloed pf X before the changes were made.
