This we already have this thread, I'm closing this one for redundancy.
Its a green-blue color emerald if I remember correctly. I see both in the color but I see a bit more green than blue. But its definitely not directly green ;)
This is a much friendlier theme for the eyes than the white on black theme
Had few bugs at first then i followed this post http://forums.anarchy-online.com/sho...=1#post6193058
Errors resolved
Over all thumbs up, this version is a lot nicer and good upgrade
New style looks awesome! could do with a few tweaks to colours here and there though. (Why is the message box transparent until I click on it?)
Hehe wasn't a dig at you TJ, I would never take a dig at you.
It was just a generic statement... I just found it hilarious the way this thread unraveled yesterday.
1 thread, 2 thread, 2 posts, 3 posts, 18 posts *rarara* *burning my eyes*
the mental image the thread conjured to be specific is of trying to tame a wild animal (cat, say) with milk and fish and you just place the food/milk saucer there near you and wait for the cat to tip toe approach cautiously hesitantly.
It gets closer and closer, it nibbles. we have finally bonded. You accidentally then make a sudden movement as you go to scratch your nose and the cat bolts off faster than lighting. LMAO.
Tough gig, FC :)
Just found these on my epic AO milestones thread courtesy of RedWatr

- Tired of little elves with bows? Fed up with spell-flinging goblins? Bored to death by the solitary world of linear games?
Despair not. Freedom is on its way, and its name is Anarchy Online.- THIS is a real man's website!
- THIS is a real man's forum!
- Why the green.. Ahh makes sense now...
- LOL no offense to anyone providing err...'constructive criticism' but I actually find the original 2004 forum theme - that darker tone of emerald green, that gradient Anarchy Online logo looking better that what it looks right now but that's just my IMHO. I don't mind - just happy with the upgrade!
On a last note, I couldn't remember that exact slogan about elves&goblins, but now that I've found it again <3 I'm updating my sig and getting rid of my cyborgs&dragons one R.I.P. :)
Why do those thread logos (letters) have to be so big? Imho the thread topic should be the thing grabbing attention, not a huge oversized logo. They don't really even seem to serve any purpose either.
I hope an AO fansite will create an alternative forum at one point if AO ever gets back on its feet.
Nag nag nag, forum looks great, some tweaks here and there to make it function and look a little better would be cool and so far quite some tweaks have been done. A better differentiation between read and unread might be nice though, i liked how that worked before and how the main page icons do that now. Subpages still show weird buttons that dont entirely fit AO but keep up the nice work!
Looking good now. Just need to fix the Devtracker.
Nice to see the previous color scheme back, feels more like home again now.
In all fairness Jill, I was over exaggerating a little when saying everyone was whining, I realize people's eyes are different. I have pretty bad astigmatism in my right eye as well, and the dark gray background with light gray text we had for that brief time didn't effect me whatsoever. The point of my previous post was wondering if people even realize it was BARELY different from what we have now that seems to be SO much better? Dark bluish green background with white text is still almost the same level of contrast that the dark gray/light gray was that we had for that one day.
I'm just gonna call it placebo effect of people not wanting the forums to change! :p
OMFG, forum is no longer showing join dates! Do you FC types have any idea how many experienced players i will end up patronizing? The social fallout will be terrifying!
The Green is a lot brighter on an IPS monitor than the brown/gray default. I Checked with my DSLR and in order to expose the background, the white text would clip, however with this far lighter shade of green this was not the case.
An adjustment of 2 aperture stops, was the the difference in exposure. No placebo effect there.
I've been here since 1902, and you youngins have it so easy. We used to have to walk up hill both ways in the snow barefooted just to log in!
Bring back join dates or we'll have to riot!
