I can't understand why everyone is taking Tantrumzero/TripleX/Aprilfool so seriouslly lately.
All that Tantrumzero is doing on the forums is whining, flaming and acusing people of exploiting and it has been like this for well over 6 months now I believe.
So lighten up people out there in forum land, no point taking anything this chump is spewing out to seriouslly. :)

we're supposed to be concealed.. for what? If anyone can do an
AS at will, unconcealed, then doesn't that make one of our most
focused skills nothing more than a mere novelty? All I'm TRULY
asking is that FC put more emphasis on concealment, because it's
supposed to have a function aside from disappearing for *****
and giggles. I'm sorry if I've been the cookie cutter conceal agent.
I'll be candid, I'm insulted (Not by you and other players, but FC
that a skill I implant and buff to have 1400+ skill is essentially
useless for the purpose it was designed for. I quote the strategy
guide, now, to further reveal what I'm thinking to you...
Aimed Shot is the sniper's favorite skill. Using this, you can
*attack from a hidden position*, inflicting extra damage on your
target. It is vital that you are not detected by your target (This
was obviously describing conceal, not LOS manipulation.) when
executing this attack, as it will then count as a normal attack.

That's what I envisioned when I bought the game, preactically at
release. That's what I expected my profession's lone ability to be,
to do a calculated shot from the shadows of concealment. Now,
some can argue that I still can, yes, but doesn't it defeat the
purpose if anyone can use that skill without the need for what FC
*obviously* had intended it to? - Absolutely have to rely on
sneak to actually maximize it's potential? What was in the guide
seems like what things SHOULD be. If you can conceal and do an
AS, great power. If not, then it only acts as a regular, non-crit, AS.
In retrospect, a perception check in PvP is a bit much. I'm just
frustrated that my one skill takes none of such for others to use.
PvP should be what the guide stated. Maximized potential when
done form sneak, and only average when not concealed. There
should be a *special* damage bonus for agents who do AS's out
of sneak, or we're just another profession that uses a weapon,
only we have no heals and as crappy defenses as an NT without NS.
How would you feel, and I don't mean for you to take this serious
(again hypothetical) if any class could use your ILW nuke, but just
couldn't do it at the exact same effectiveness, and at a lower
nano cost? (Lower nanos cost being as close to no conceal as I
could describe.) That's essentially how I feel. I know now that its
easy to get off AS's, but it's not supposed to be like that in PvM.
That's all I'm saying.
And to answer, I haven't PvPed since 13.2 or so. I just came back
after NW was released, and have been upgrading my character.
At 116, I can *almost* self cast UA, and have 940 ATK rating. I just
need a good set of sense/agl armor in the QL185-195 range, and
you can count on me being in the fray with my brothers and sisters.
I did, however, take out an untitled MA my Lv. (I used to be a
rookie, now freshie.) I thought it was fair enough, having not
upgraded AC's/Imps since lv67, when treatment was handed out
like candy. Anyway, that answers that more than enough.

No, what your missing out here is the reason you can make an Atrox doctor with a beam, or a nanomage fixer with a sledgehammer, or a opifex NT with a rifle. Anarchy Online, from beta, was always about open-endedness with the game. I don't care about nerfs really, as long as they balance the game. I agree with you there. The beauty of AO is that (aside from
exclusive nanos for casters, and profession only items) anyone
can basically be anything they want, to varying degrees of sucess.
(And please stop it with childish antagonism. We're adults, here.)
You're right, some ARE better than others, and I recognize that.
But I *WANT* conceal to have some great benefit, as it was
ephasized to have in the early days. Otherwise, I demand a
green stats that matters for a damn. Maybe RIFLE could actually be
GREEN. Conceal doesn't even serve it's purpose as granting us
access as spies, or masters of anything stealthy. It's discouraging.
That's all I meant to say, and I'm sorry I took it too far. I,
someone who believes diplomancy and kindness go a long way, apologize.
But that doesn't nullify the fact that conceal isn't serving it's
purpose, as things are. That, my dear, is was is truly getting me
upset. My tensions were already tempered enough at seeing the
title of this topic. I don't want you, or anyone else for that matter,
to be angry at me because of my frustrations, but I think what I
have said in this thread, this very post and this one alone, has
made sense. I'm a person who sticks to their guns, but I'm not
afraid to admit when I am wrong, nor when I am right. I only
hope that if we ever met in game you wouldn't hold a grudge for
this heated debate (If one can even call it that.), because what it
unlimately boils down to it this; In game, we're all the same.
We're all just players with no control over the specifics, so we

Make aimed shot in pvp only work from 30m+ and requires to be concealed, the actual shot should check vs targets perception also but all of this ONLY if the dmg cap is also removed from this one special.

AS would need a change if damage was 100% so you cant chain kill people using it but thats it.
If Aimed shot had to be used from conseal you can forget, Agent Vs Agent, Trader vs Agent, MA vs Agent......basicly forget about fights between any profetion that has a weapon that req the AS skill, why?
Because i wouldnt be slow in up'ing Perception and Consealment and i would'nt just stand non conseled waiting to take a AS with nothing to hit back with appart from the "Dreaded super duper Ubah!! flingshot".
Agent would conseal then everyone else would conseal until they decide this isnt going to work and decide not to fight.
Oh and with people wasting ip on these skills to be able to use a special in PvP there not lightly to have ip for the towers / Controllers and if they raise these skills anyway your going to be pretty gimped in PvP.
How about an alternative. Instead of nerfing FA/AS, fix the other specials to do more damage and adjust HPs and Heals to compensate.Quote:

Also, to push the word noob in your face again, you want to complain because an agents concealment is not worth a damn? It makes you invisible to others, thats what it is supposed to do. You get 10K shots with agents crit % and high AR, what more do you want. You go into a pvp zone sneaking, someone comes out not knowing your there, you get a shot off with a better chance to do a 10K shot. I don't see the problem here.

Its funny you say full auto too, cause that skill is so god damn worthless half of the time, and its recharge is so bad its no where near nerfable.
