Need better loot from single player missions

Rolled up a new baby Doc. At level 7 with a couple of med sleeves I can do 100% missions. However, the loot is absolutely pathetic. In a solo level 7 100% missiion with 20 monsters, I got a total (from Mobs and chests) of 5 items: 1. bullets, 2. flamethrower ammo, 3. ql 10 improve crushing weapon disk, 4. ql 10 bright psychobabble eye implants, and 5. ql 13 FDA Insurget Fly rifle. Selling this stuff in a shop gave 373 credits.

In a team mission of the same level I get better boss loot alone.

This is totally unbalanced. Solo missions have obviously been gutted, and the only option available for solo players is to try and get someone to team so you can solo a team mission.

I honestly think you should get more from soloing a mission then teaming for one. With a team you always have more of a chance of a successful mission.

There should be some sort of balancing. I'm a soloing player. I only team because that's where the good loot is and bigger xp and cash rewards.

Hmm, I think since it's harder to solo a hard mission, than that of equal value from a team mission, you should get something special.

Part of the problem with soloing is that you have to be a generalist. If you're going to solo you obviously can't rely upon your team mates for buffs, healing, calms, or added attack power. You're totally on your own, and this affects how you develop your char because you're forced to spend IP more broadly. Also, as a soloist you're going to be lacking in at least one or two areas, so its going to limit the difficulty of missions you can do.

My point here, is that, yes, I agree. There has to be something special that you can get soloing that you can't get in a team, because you're paying a significant price restricting yourself to soloing.

What would be cool is that you'd get special nanos from soloing that would offset some of the deficiencies your char has. Say as a MA, you'd get a stronger AC buff, or as a doc, a short duration calm.

This sort of thing would make soloing a viable alternative. You'd still be far from the pinacle you could achieve as a specialist who relies upon team members to offset deficinecies. But your char would at least be respectable.

Soloing loot has sucked for some time. I remember when I could periodically find armor or weapons a few ql above myself, that is now rare. I always did even ql missions.

Since 14.6 tho, TEAM loot seems to be kinda like soloing loot. CRAPPY. In most team missions I find 4-20 Coffee Blocks. These are Unique
so being unique u can get one of each of the two kinds from chests. That coupled with the constant barrage of non stackable FirstAide types makes for alot of crappy loot.

I'm all for better loot for us solo-ers. As a MA all I get is ammunition.

Maybe the game just needs a (more?) dynamic loot determination system appropriate for the character.

I would get curiosities back then after beta, but now I don't even find those. It's just the same non-useable stuff over and over and over again. :(

Well here's what I got in a 75% team mission at level 10 (ql 13). Contrast this with the 5 items I originally posted for a 100% level 7 mission (ql 12). This is without boss loot, btw, as I couldn't take the boss down.

Admittedly, the team mission had about 30 Mobs rather than the 20 the single player mission had, but they are of equivalent quality. Putting all that in the machine yielded 3350 credits in contrast to the 373 the solo mission loot gave. That is, about 10 times.

Also, if you are a bit more uber than my no-implant med-sleeve doc, you'd get the boss loot too.

The choice is obvious. If you want to solo a mission, to a team mission. At the same quality of mission, there is simply no comparison.

Puzzled tho, no firstaides? Is this a recent change with last patch or just a fluke in this mission?

Not sure about the meds. As a doc I keep a bunch, so I may have collected some and not noticed.

I soloed another team mission at level 18 (ql 23). In this one the boss was easy enough even for my little doc w/o implants to take down. Here's a list of the boss loot followed by the normal loot I got.

From the machine the boss loot was worth 5011, and the mission loot 4513, for a total of 9524. Though clearly, selling the Plasmaprojector on the market will easily give more by itself.

To complete the comparison, I did another single player mission at level 19. This one a ql 24 mission. Here's the loot:

In the machine this was worth 3249 credits. While a significant improvement over my first single player list, it is still well short of the team mission, both in value of reward and type of reward. You'll notice that there is no armor, except the Gloves, which were the mission reward, and the single nano crystal has a ql 10 levels lower than the rest of the loot.

I am for this one 100%.

BTW best way my low lvl trader can make money is go outside tir and kill grey mobs to have monster parts, once converted, this give much more money than solo mission, and much faster.

Even if there's no special loot, a tweak of the loot tables is needed here...

I don't know how many of those stupid, usless, unique, nodrop "gift baskets" I've seen since they started appearing in chests...

And on the coffee blocks, not only do they drop too often, are unique, but if you bother dragging one back to the store, one type gets you 1 cred, and the other 0 cred !!!!!

I've just been deleting them when I see them these days, not like I can use them.

I think they should seperate the loot tables more, maybe keep the # of items you find in single player missions lower so there is stuff to go around in team missions, and keep all the newer team mission stuff in them, like web cloaks, coffee, all that jazz.

Noticed there are like 10 gift wraped packages in every solo mission, v maybe 1 in 5 on team missions.

One thing that would be very nice, put rare stones exclusivly in solo missions, all those SFs/NFs/cold stones, make them spawn in solo only. Same with special rings and bracers. No one at 194 cares much about this stuff, but I remember at level 130-175 every one is crazy about this stuff, and it really makes for some hateful teams.

I would like to see LESS ammo, treament, stims, and those stupid NO DROP GIFT BASKET THINGS.

Now I wouldnt mind so much if the treatment and stims we get were stackable but most people just load up on those damn things at the store before heading out on a mission. Same with ammo. :D

LOL the gift basket is everywere..lol Its an invasion of the basket snatchers!!

But i agree. I also dont like the fact that only team missions has bosses... Bosses=sweet loot.
On the last (and always empty) mission square there should be a Boss mission for soloing.
