IRRK Freelance: Newland Homicide Report

Maurice "Troxmon" Winter, a 52-year-old Atrox, was shot and killed Thursday, May 15, in the 7600 block of Adam Roycraft Ave in Newland, according to Newland City coroner's records.

Deputies responded to a report of a bludgeoning victim about 12:35 a.m. and found Winter in the street near his FasTrans Corp heavy transport vehicle, said Lt. Cole Dalman with the Newland City Militia. A member of the coroner's office pronounced him dead on the scene at 12:50 a.m.

Due to the nature of the wounds, Dalman said that the killer was likely another Atrox.
