Why do not create a game date system?

Hi all, in the first i apologize myself for my english .. it is not my main language.. then...

I like very much the night-day sequence in ao. In fact in combination whit the weather features give me a strong "ambience" feeling.
But in a mmorpg i think that a date system should be a "must"
why do not create a "months" system like january december etc.
but whit different names of course :) ?
why do not implement a command like /time in order to display the game time in the chat interface?
i think that this could be a very nice thing that can be usefull , for an istance, in to determinate the right date for an "in game event" whitout the usefull but totally ooc gmt system.

In reference to the /time command......

There is a game time clock in the lower right hand of your screen displaying Rubi-Ka time, note Rubi-Ka has a 26 hour day Therefore 25:59 is 1 min to Midnight.

I think one day on Rubi-Ka goes way too fast...
Why not make it more like a normal day length?

My character is probably a hundred years old by now with the time flying by as fast as it does..

Yes, time does fly by too quickly...

Cause how would you like to log on each day to always having to play during the night cycle, thats why MMORPGS have sped up days, so that you can play during the 'day' as well as the 'night'
